At some point, listeners have to ask themselves, "How many good songs can one band write?" In the case of RVIVR, I don't know if they'll ever reach that quota. Nothing this band has done since their 2008 Life Moves 7" has been close to bad, or even just okay. It's like they're physically incapable of writing anything but excellent, catchy, fist-pumping punk rock songs that make you want to save the world and hug your friends. All the RVIVR affiliates, past and present, are great bands in their own right, but there's just something about these guys that tugs at my heart strings. I'm always excited for whatever they release. And thus far, their output has been nothing short of prolific so I hope that trend continues well into the 2020's. Bicker and Breathe is the band's brand new five song EP.
